Phil Julian - Architectural Model Making
The four layers indicated in the score were improvised separately using an analogue modular synthesiser and then mixed to create the realisation. Some minor edits, mainly for length and timing, were sparingly made to the sections.
The "constant sound" that the score calls for in this case is the very slight background noise caused by the synthesiser's analogue components. This forms a constant, continual system environment.
