Double CD of a work dating from two years before Feldman’s death in 1987, ‘Violin and String Quartet’ lasts two and a quarter hours, throughout which the strings weave gently shifting patterns of sound.  

It is one of Feldman’s most beautiful pieces.

There is nothing more to say really.
